Embu Nurses And Health Workers Take To The Streets Leaving Patients In Critical Condition To Suffer

Embu county government is currently on spot and health workers led by nurses from big public hospitals have taken their grievances to the streets complaining that they have not been paid the whole of this year. According to clips taken by concerned residents, the nurses gathered in different locations of Embu town with placards saying that they can't go to work unless their demands are met. They said that they have been writing random letters to the county government saying that they are not receiving salaries but nobody has replied to them. They said that ever since this year started, they have not received even a single coin yet they have families and their children need basic needs. For now, patients have nobody to help them and the hospitals are full of sick people hoping that they will be treated. Those in critical condition have remained in the wards and they don't know what step to take since they are suffering. We hope that the county government of Embu will respond so that nurses can go back to work.
