Coronavirus disease that started from China in Wuhan City late 2019 continues to drive many nations crazy. As of now according to the statistics from Johns Hopkins University more than 149,368,564 cases have been reported. Out of the total number of infections 3,149,698 people have succumbed to the virus.
India has been hit hard by the disease in the recent weeks. Yesterday, India recorded around 320,000 new infections and deaths rose close to 200,000.
Many hospitals are now overwhelmed due to the surge of cases. Today, a heartbreaking video has emerged on twitter showing a woman who is alleged to have died of coronavirus being ferried home by a motorbike.
This comes at a time world countries have started sending aid to India. Yesterday, the first UK shipment of 200 pieces including oxygen concentrators and ventilators arrived at New Delhi.
At the same time, the World Health Organization indicated that it is doing everything possible to provide what is needed.
