As the cold foods passes down through the gullet it causes the gullet to lose its ability to stretch and thus making it harder. This makes it difficult to swallow hence the cells in the throat get deactivated and this may lead to chocking.

When the urinary bladder is cold it leads to difficulty in holding urine and this weakens the bladder causing; frequent urination since the bladder cannot hold urine for long time and can also lead to clear urine. In pregnant women it can affect the fetus and cause permanent infertility.
We have discussed that cold foods transfer coldness to the gullet down to the lungs and may lead to asthma and other related breathing complications due to shrinking of the lungs. Therefore even the moisture and nutrients that could have been delivered to the skin may produce vascid mucus and even lead to phlegm.
