Since the outbreak of the Corona Virus, hundreds if not thousands of people have come out with claims of knowing the effective vaccines needed to cure the fatal disease, some scientifically proven while others are not.
In some countries mostly in Africa, rumors of treating COVID-19 using local herbs have always surfaced. For instance, the late president of Tanzania John Magufuli once claimed to have used a steam bath made up of natural herbs to treat and heal his child who was ailing from COVID-19.
To date, many of his countrymen still believes him, something that many scientists have severally disputed since the medicine made of natural herbs is yet to be scientifically tested and proven.
As Kenya continues to fight the disease, the stories of using natural herb to fight COVID-19 have resurfaced courtesy of one ODM MP.
While addressing the residents of Shinyalu, Muhanda asserted that the herb which she says is effective should be boiled and then inhaled by the person suffering from the aforementioned disease.
However, the county government of Kamamega responded by dismissing Muhanda's remarks, further urging the the public to treat those remarks as personal since they are not backed by any substantial medical evidence.
