The cabinet secretary of health Mutahi Kagwe today deliver some bad news to parents in today's COVID19 daily updates. When he was asked by a journalist about the government's effort to prioritize learners', the CS cited that the learners' is in the hands of parents and guardians. He blamed the parents for paving for their children to misbehave when it comes to observance of covid19 restrictions as they lead by example. When they lax to adhere to the restrictions, the children will follow the soot.
He also added by saying that parents should provide adequate masks to their children and teach them on proper ways to behave for safety purposes. He also urged parents whose children come from schools with inadequate supply of water, to ensure their children carry some water with them. The government through the ministry of health seems to burden parents with more responsibilities even after promising them that the safety of learners at schools will be given a top priority.
