The County Government of Mombasa and the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology have partnered to bring medical testing as close to the people as possible through the launch of an 80 million Shilling state of the art mobile laboratory
Together with the JKUAT Chancellor Joseph Ndung'u and Vice Chancellor Prof. Victoria Ngumi, I commissioned this project to commence testing for various medical conditions within our communities. We expect this joint project to make the vision of universal healthcare a reality in Mombasa County by making testing not only more accessible but more affordable as well.
This lab will be staffed with a clinical officer, two nurses and two laboratory technicians working to process the Samples. This mobile lab's schedule has been integrated with our Beyond Zero mobile facility Such that we are able to we test, treat and manage a patient right where they are at the grassroots.
We are grateful for the support and Partnership of the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in fulfilling my government's pledge to make health sevices accessible and affordable for all". Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Mombasa Governor.
