Good news as the Ministry of Health announced that 508 patients recovered from the Corona Virus, with 458 from the Home Based Isolation and Care Program while 50 were discharged from various health facilities across the country. Impressively, the total recoveries stand at 241180.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe however revealed that 7 patients succumbed to the disease, one of them having occurred in the last 24 hours while six are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits in September 2021. This pushes the cumulative fatalities to 5116.
The Ministry of Health on Wednesday announced that 255 people tested positive for Covid 19 for Covid 19 from a sample size of 6305 tested in the 24 hours.
The positivity rate is now at 4.0 per cent with total confirmed infections rising to 248770 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 2543697.
From the cases 249 of them are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners, 138 are makes and 117 are 4 year old child and the oldest is 91 years.
Another impressive report shared by the Ministry of Health, no patient is currently under observation, however 349 patients are separately on supplemental oxygen with 336 of them in general wards and 13 in High Dependency Units.
