President Uhuru Kenyatta addressed the nation a few hours ago concerning the prevailing coronavirus pandemic. During his address, president Uhuru stated that according to the latest trend in Covid-19 infections counties like Nairobi, Kajiado Machakos, Nakuru and Kiambu were safe from the prevailing Western attack.
This has served as a major breakthrough to the residents of these five counties. It's the first time they are missing on the list of most affected areas. As this happens, Busia, Kakamega, Nyamira, Kisii, Vihiga, Migori, Siaya, Homa Bay, Kisumu, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Bomet and Kericho have emerged to be the most affected. New containment measures have been reinstated in these areas.

According to Uhuru's report, for every five positive cases, two are from Western Region. The western region has experienced the highest positivity rate of 21 Percent. This is so high if compared to the national average of 9.1 percent. This is a trend that Uhuru refered to as a see saw system where as one region recovers, another region emerges to be worst striken by the virus.
