9 Destructive Things You Need To Stop Doing In Your 20s

1. Wasting your time on Drugs and Alcohol

Your life, time, and body are too precious and valuable to destroy with pointless things. I know it is interesting now, but trust me, you don’t need it, and you will feel better not taking either.

2. Eating junk food

Eating processed foods in your 20’s will lead to having bad eating habits in your 30’s and 40’s. Then one day, you’ll wake up sick and unhealthy, wondering why! Your body is a temple. Treat it with respect.

3. Thinking and re-thinking about past events

It only keeps you from doing productive stuff in the present. Learn from the past and move on.

4. Going into debt

Not for college, not for clothes, not for anything. Debt sucks, and there is literally no reason I can think that you should go into debt in your 20’s. Not for college, not for clothes, not for anything.

5. Being friends with stupid, idiotic people

Some people never grow up. And they try to drag you down in the process. And some so-called friends have no ambition. Stay clear of these people. You’re better than that.

6. Spending too much time on social media

Social media can be more addictive than cigarettes and alcohol. It has a powerful draw for many people, leading to them checking it all the time without even thinking about it. Use it wisely.

7. Staying at home

Get out, explore, vacation, hike, say yes to something your friends want to do. Staying home sometimes is nice, but life happens off of the couch and away from Netflix.

8. Seeking perfection

To be perfect is just an illusion. Don’t let yourself become exhausted while achieving perfection. You got limited time to do things.

9. Constantly comparing yourself to others

It’s not a competition or a race because sometimes the best things take time. It’s very unlikely for you to just wind up at your dream job right off the graduation stage. You might not be ready just yet, and that’s okay.

Just keep working towards what you want and hang out with people who help push you to get there. It only happens once in your life. So plan accordingly, set big goals, find your balance, and have one hell of an amazing time…
