'Ni Kubaya' 1,808 Deaths With 37,284 Cases in Just A Single Day in Indonesia

Coronavirus disease started in China in Wuhan City in 2019. It later spread to other countries. So far according to the Johns Hopkins University 198,183,006 infections have been confirmed worldwide. Worryingly nearly 4,228,091 people have succumbed to the virus.

The United States of America is leading currently with more than 35.7 million infections with 629,064 deaths.

Indonesia appears to be the hardest hit nation in Southeast Asia. Today it has reported 37,284 new cases and around 1,808 fatalities.

Recently the Indonesian government allowed small shops, restaurants, and small malls to reopen. This could have resulted in a sharp rise in cases.

At the same time, only 7 percent of the country has been vaccinated. The country's health ministry indicated that it is considering a booster dose of the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine.

In my view, it will be important if all nations collaborated in the fight against this deadly disease. Meanwhile, follow the stipulated measures by the World Health Organization.
