Signs That Can Cause Irregular Periods And How To Go About It

Periods are good since they can tell your level of fertility but the pain sometimes becomes unbearable. If they don't come you will Panic so it's better you undergo all that for you to increase your fertility level.

Questions like “Am I pregnant?” or “Is there something wrong with me?” start running through your mind at the speed of light the moment there’s even the slightest delay in your periods.

But here’s the thing, usually there’s not much to be alarmed about. Even though 28 days is accepted as the common standard for a period cycle, that number can stretch up to 35 days or come down to 21 and still be called normal .However, it’s when your periods become irregular that there arises a cause for concern.

Irregular periods are not just consistently early or consistently delayed periods. Irregular periods cover a host of irregularities in your menstrual cycle. Basically, any odd symptom that does normally take place when you’re on your periods comes under the preview of irregular periods .

Irregular periods are fairly common, and at certain stages of your life.Mostly when your hormones are not balanced or at certain age heading to menopause.

Here are signs that can tell your periods are irregular.

Having an abnormal Smell down there.

If you notice a strange smell coming from down there, you can suspect it to be caused by increased bacterial reproduction. This means that you’re probably suffering from infections you should seek medical attention because if not treated can cause irregularities in your periods.

Having Very Early Or Highly Delayed Periods

A normal menstrual cycle can last anywhere between 21 and 35 days. Now that’s normal only if your menstrual cycle follows a set of number of days each month. For example, for most women, it’s a 28-day cycle and the onset of the next period takes place only after 28 days of the first day of menstruation. It’s when you break away from this pattern all of a sudden that irregular periods take place. So, if you notice a very early or a much-delayed onset of your next period consistently, you might be suffering from irregular periods.

Increased/Decreased Number Of Days Of Periods

Another One is a change in your number of period days. Typically periods last anywhere between 3 and 8 days, with the average being 5 days . However, if your periods last beyond a week or end before 3 days means it is not a normalthe case you might be suffering from irregular periods seek medical attention.

Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Periods are good but having irregular periods are characterized by excessively heavy or more than the usual amount of bleeding. Though a number cannot be put on this, as a woman, you know the amount of menstrual bleeding that is normal for you. If you notice a sudden increase in menstrual bleeding, or feel the need to change your pad or tampon every hour, you have irregular periods.
