Bad News as Experts Warn on What Will Happen in Mid May Hours After Uhuru Eased Covid-19 Protocols

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday May 1st announced the government' move to ease a number of guidelines laid in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Head of State lifted partial lock down in the counties of Nairobi, Machakos, Kajiado, Kiambu and Nakuru and shortened curfew hours between 10pm to 4am.

Despite this, experts have warned that the third covid-19 wave will be hitting the peak in Mid May if the measures put in place are not followed to the letter.

According to a report by Citizen TV, Doctor Nelly Yatich an epidemiologist stated that the country is so far heading to the right direction but any complacency will lead to another surge in new positive cases.

Lancet's CEO Ahmed Kalebi observed that the interventions enacted to stop the spread of the virus worked compared to India were the cases are rising exponentially in the last four weeks.

Others health experts warned that Kenya is not far from facing what is taking place in most affected counties in case they do not heed to what the ministry of Health is advocating for.
