Ugandans received some bad news after it was reported that the country recorded a total of nine positive cases of the new and deadly omicron variant. This now means that it is the first East African country to record this strain. This is indeed sad news to the citizens of that country and they now have to be very vigilant.
It is also bad news to the neighboring countries because the borders between the countries have not been closed and it may be spread. The nations should also be very vigilant and create more awareness to their citizens so that the new variant may not be spread to other countries too.
The Citizens of Uganda should also continue being vigilant, and they should continue to follow the guidelines that have been put by the Ministry of Health such as the wearing of face masks and the maintenance of the social distancing rule.
