Good news to Kenyans as the impressive report emerge from the Ministry of Health. According to the report shared, the number of people who recovered from Covid 19 in the last 24 hours was relatively higher than the new cases.
In a statement, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said that the new infections take the country's positivity rate to 5.8 per cent. Therefore 432 recovered as the country recorded 323 new cases.
Therefore the total recoveries now stand at 239730 after 432 patients recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours with 387 from the Home Based and Isolation care programme while 45 are from various health facilities in the country.
Of total recoveries 193812 are from the Home Based Isolation care programme while 45918 are from various hospital countrywide. Kenya has so far administered 3600187 vaccines across the country.
Therefore according to the report shared by the ministry of health the cases are significantly reducing. As of September 24th, 2021, a total of 3600187 vaccines had so far been administered across the country. Of these, total first doses were administered were 2713427 while the second were 886760. The uptake of the second dose who received their first dose was at 32.7 per cent.
The government is working towards vaccinating targeted population of 27246033.
