Kenya National Transfusion Service (KNTS) is conducting a blood transfusion in Bomet County. The exercise kicked off on 14th June and is ongoing untill 18th June 2021.
Among the areas where the exercise will be conducted are Konoin Polytechnic that was done yesterday 14th June.
According to the KNTS, there main aim is to collect, test, process and distribute blood and blood products to all blood transfusing hospitals in Kenya.
This is done in respect to a world blood donor day. The simple, and selfless act of donating blood saves millions of lives annually. World Blood Donor Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation. Blood donation not only saves lives but also improves the health of those who are in need of it.
