On Monday 20th September 2021, 113 people test positive of Corona virus disease from a sample test size of 2,680. The positivity rate stands at 4.2% today . From the cases, 104 were Kenyans while 9 were foreigners. Male patients were 55 while females were 58. The youngest patient was a 5 year old baby while the oldest being 91 year old. Total confirmed positive cases stands at 246,643 and the cumulative tests so far conducted are 2,500,729.
According to counties contribution, Nairobi had 60 cases, Garissa 9, Kiambu 8, Mombasa 8, Kilifi 5, Kitui 5. Fortunately 655 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, 465 were obtained from Home Based and Isolation Care and 190 from various health facilities. Total recoveries adds to 237,950.
Unfortunately, 6 deaths reported, one being of last 24 hours and 5 from the facility record audit on diverse dates. Total fatalities sums to 4,995. Currently admitted patients in various health facilities are 1,410. In Home Based and Isolation Care are 3,107 , Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are 105 of whom 73 are in Ventilatory Support and 27 in Supplementary Oxygen. 5 patients are under observation.
