Healthy hair is a sign of good health. Brittle hair, dandruff or hair loss are signs of poor health. There are some diseases that cause hair loss. Anaemia is caused by lack of iron in the body. It has symptoms such as hair loss, headache, dizziness, and pale skin. Inorder to prevent anaemia in your body, eat foods rich in iron. Such foods include; liver, potatoes, eggs and pumpkin.
2. Alopecia areata
The cause of this disease is yet to be known but doctors recognize it by observing the hair loss. It is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the hair follicles that causes hair loss.
This is a disorder where the immune system reacts against the health tissues of the body. Symptoms of this disease include hair loss, pain in joints, headache and fatigue.
4. Hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism
This is a disorder where the thyroid gland is undereactive and hyperthyroidism is the opposite of it. Functions of thyroid hormone include metabolism, digestion, brain function among others. Hair loss is a disease caused by it
