Bungoma: Bumula MP Wants Cancer Centre Build In Western Region

Bumula Mp Mwambu Mabonga wants a cancer centre built in western region to help cancer patients from the region to access services from nearby. Due to lack of cancer screening centres in the region many cancer patients are expected to seek medication from Eldoret and Nairobi or else be airlifted to India for further cancer treatment.

Speaking to the star at Kabula primary school in his constituency during the handing over of Ksh.1M for the construction of classrooms, Mabonga noted that many families have lost their loved ones due to lack of a cancer center in the region.

The DP Ruto allied MP added that developed countries are able to fight cancer because they have screening services everywhere and patients get screened in early stages that can be treated.

“If we can get our own cancer centre here in the region it will motivate patients to seek medication earlier before it develops to full blown stage,” he said.

On politics, Mwambu said that it’s only the deputy president through his hustler narrative that has an agenda that will save Kenyans in terms of empowerment and supporting small business.

“The DP has been here severally on a mission to empower boda boda riders and mama mboga therefore I ask you all to rally behind hustler narrative and make sure that his ascends to power come 2022,” he said.

The Legislator trashed ODM boss Ksh. 6,000 pledged to poor families saying that it’s impossible adding that if he is serious he wants to be the President he must come up with an agenda that will help the local mwananchi and stop criticizing hustler narrative.

“Our competitors should stop criticizing our bottom- up economic model; they should also tell Kenyans their agenda and what they will be able to do for the country if given the chance,” Mabonga stated.
