What is arthritis? Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints in your body, that causes pain and stiffness and worsens with age. Well, actually arthritis is quite common. It is also very disturbing. When you have arthritis, you really can't do anything. And this is a very big disadvantage, especially to those of us who have to make ends meet.
So how do you treat arthritis? Most of us usually get on medication. But unfortunately, this most likely never works. And even if it works, a few weeks later you feel the problem coming back. So you can imagine the loss that you have made, spending your money on expensive medication that does not even work. But this does not have to be the case anymore. Today I will be sharing with you some natural ways you can make that arthritis disappear once and for all. That's right; chemical-free, cheap yet very effective tips, so be keen.
It is common knowledge that turmeric is a very powerful anti-inflammatory spice. This property is what makes it reduce swelling and pain from arthritis. It is very easy to consume turmeric. You just need to add it to your diet. Whenever you cooking food, just remember to add it.
2. Hot paraffin soak
Sounds weird, but it is so worth it. If you did your science right, then you know that paraffin is a type of wax that melts at a relatively low temperature. This allows you to dip your hands, feet, and lower legs into it without getting burnt. This method really helps to reduce pain and swelling from arthritis.
This is how it works; the wax coats your skin and as it dries, it holds the heat in for long. Therapies that use heat help a lot in reducing the stiffness and pain
3. Fermented foods
One of the most vital things you can do to manage inflammatory arthritis is to have a healthy gut. This means that you should have plenty of good bacteria so they can protect your body. One very good way of increasing your body’s supply of good bacteria is by adding more probiotic, cultured foods into your diets. I am talking about foods like yogurt and that fermented porridge that we all know and love. Probiotic foods have a significant positive effect on arthritis symptoms.
4. Fish oil
Fish oil contains anti-inflammatory omega-3 fatty acids, which help reduce joint pain. There are two ways you can consume fish oil. You can add them to your diet- they occur naturally in fish like salmon, and are increasingly found in foods like eggs and yogurt. The other way is by taking supplements.
5. Reduce your intake of sugar
Seeing as arthritis is inflammation of your joints, it only makes sense to eat foods that are anti-inflammatory. You should know that one of the most inflammatory foods is sugar, especially when eaten in excess and in processed foods. I am talking about foods like soda, juices, ice cream, and baked goods like cakes, cookies, and white bread.
So the simplest approach to an anti-inflammatory diet is to eat very little amounts of refined sugar. Instead, aim for sugar that occurs naturally in healthy whole foods, like fruits and vegetables.
Now you don't have to worry about looking too far for help. You can simply take care of your arthritis problem at home. Do you know any other natural remedies to arthritis? Feel free to share your thoughts below, like, share and follow my page for more tips.
