Kenya is still making every possible effort to ensure that the rates of infections are curbed within the country. This involves cessation of movement to and from counties with more Covid 19 cases, curfews etc. India has been reported to be the country with the most rates of infections worldwide as deaths and infections spike every day in the country.
As reported by K24 TV, the cabinet secretary of health, Mutahi Kagwe has announced a cessation of flights from India to Kenya for the next fourteen days. This was due to the increased infections in India and it may be spread into Kenya and cause more havoc. Kenyans have applauded the Dr Kagwe for his bold move to suspend flights to Kenya.
Kenya is currently at a positivity rate of 9.8% as reported by the ministry of health on Wednesday, April 28. This is relatively low following the comparisons of the past days. Meanwhile, Kenya is on a better side to alleviate the pandemic of Covid 19 if the measures are adhered to with utmost respect.
