Migori: Six Family Members Hospitalized After Losing Eyesight, As One Reported Dead

Residents of Thim Jope village in Uriri Subcounty in Migori county have been treated to a rare spectacular drama after six members of a family have been reported to have gone blind in a bizzare incident that has left the residents in shock.

A woman in her middle ages and her four children have been rushed to Migori County Refferal Hospital for treatment after being alleged to have gone blind while a twelve year old boy from the same family lost his eyesight and died instantly in unclear circumstance in Benga village.

The woman and her five children are said to have been in good health over the previous days before they could complain of being out of sight.

The family is said to have earlier invited spiritual leaders for prayers before the six were rushed to hospital for treatment and the doctors are still trying to establish the cause of the patient's loss of sight.

While confirming the incident, Thim-Jope Sub Location Assistant Chief Kerry Otieno said that the incident is quite baffling and they are yet to establish what could have happened.
