MOH Delivers Good News to Kenyans On Covid-19 Vaccination Ahead of Mashujaa Day Celebrations

It's now 19 months since covid-19 pandemic was first reported in the country. The virus has continued to wreck havoc in the country. Many families and communities have been affected by adverse effects of Covid-19 pandemic.

The country is still fighting fourth wave of Covid-19 pandemic, however the rate of Covid-19 infections has dropped significantly since September this year. This is attributed to mass vaccinations that is going on in the country. Today ministry of health has delivered good news to kenyans on covid-19 vaccination drive. In the report sent to media Kenya has passed 4 million mark in vaccination. The country is targeting to vaccinate atleast 5 million kenyans by the time of Mashujaa Day Celebrations.

"KENYA passes 4mn mark in vaccination exercise with 991,360 having taken second dose; 3.4pc positivity rate recorded," read the report.

This happens at a time Kenya has recorded 218 new infections in last 24 hours from a sample size of 6,350. This has risen total confirmed cases to 250,728. The positivity rate is now at 3.4 percent.
