Another virus detected in the word and most parts of west Africa called Monkeypox. The virus is believed to have spread by animals. Fourteen nations have detected the virus like Switzerland and Israel and its spreading very fast in the world.
If you might have contracted the virus without knowing, here are the signs and symptoms that you might experience: high fevers, aching muscles, rashes and swollen lymph nodes, and last in a human between two to four weeks.
You can also get the virus from an already affected person through close contact.
“Available information suggests that human-to-human transmission is occurring among people in close physical contact with cases who are symptomatic,” the WHO said.
So far, there is no specific vaccine for monkeypox but scientists are optimistic that smallpox vaccines have proved to be about 85% effective in preventing infection.
We need to be careful since the virus spreads so fast.
