1. You don't have enough muscles
Having more muscles mean you will burn more calories. Fat ans muscle tissues burns calories regardless of what you are doing whether reading, walking or sleeping. Study found that building muscles over cardio enhance weight loss
2. You don't drink enough water
Drinking enough water is good for weight loss, healthy skin and maintaining blood sugar level. Human is advised to drink 2-3 liters of water a day.
3. You skip meals
In as much as skipping meals may cut calories intake, it slows down your metabolism and kicks your body into starvation mode. This causes the body to rely on fat because it feels it needs to in order to survive. Smaller regular food is the best method as opposed to stopping and starting between large less frequent meals.
4. Lack of sleep
Staying long without sleep may be attributed to being productive but on the contrary it is not good for our health. During sleep, your body is working to support healthy brain function and maintain your physical health. In children and teens, sleep also helps support growth and development.
5. Too much stress
When one is stressed the body releases cortisol, the fight-or-flight hormone that worsens insulin resistance and promotes the storage of fat!
6. Taking medicine
Drugs used to treat diabetes, depression, high blood pressure and inflammation may affect weight regulation. Some makes you hungrier hence higher food intake. Others stimulates fat storage.
