For the last one year people from around the world have been suffering due to the effect of covid-19. The disease has been seen to cause alot of damages from people dying, loosing their jobs and many other problems associated with the pandemic.
When the disease hit the country on march 2020 there was a total lockdown and also all the educational institutions were closed and all the learners stayed at home for a whole nine months which was later opened on September for the candidates class only.
However during late march 2021 there was a third wave of the pandemic which made the numbers of those already infected to increase by a very worrying percentage, this however made the president to lockdown five counties where the disease had drastically increased, the counties that were locked include Nairobi,Nakuru, machakos and kiambu.
During that time all the learning institutions were closed untill further notice including all the worship areas, restaurants and bars this saw many people across the country to beg the president to open up the country for the normal life to continue.
During the labour day celebrations, the president of the Republic of Kenya has lifted the ban on the measures he had put in place.
He has unlocked the five counties beginning tomorrow and also all the learning institutions will open according to the school calender. All the bars, worship centers and restaurants have been opened, this move has excited many people who had lost all hope. He has however urged Kenyans to protect themselves and follow all the covid-19 protocols as they have been issued by the ministry of health.
