Covid-19: CS Mutahi Kagwe Imposes Another Measure to be Adhered to For The Next 14 Days

The Health Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mutahi Kagwe has imposed another protocol to be observed as a counter measure to the spread of the Corona virus.

He announced the suspension of all the flights from India to Kenya for the next 14 days. The measure was arrived on due to the surge in the spread of the virus in India.

The measure will now add up to the currently imposed protocol as the country is striving to flatten the curve (a positivity rate of 5% and below).

India has been recording thousands of new Covid-19 infections daily, leaving the country's morgues and hospitals filled to capacity.

The measure came shortly after concerns were raised about Kenyans who are stuck in India. It was however reported that the government through the Kenyan ambassador in India claimed to have took a record of all the Kenyans who got stuck in India.

However, the number of those Kenyans in India were not publicly revealed as the citizens worry about their safety.
