Many vaccinated Kenyans have been anxiously waiting for the second jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine while those who haven't have been waiting for their turn. After receiving the first jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine, Kenyans were prepared in advance as they were assured of a second jab after 8 weeks. It was later moved to 12 weeks before it became a complication story.
Today, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi has decided to put all the secrets aside as she dropped a bombshell to the nation thus causing a stir. While responding to a Netizen on Twitter, Mercy Mwangangi made it very clear that although it was anticipated that the people would receive their second jab at the end of May, it is now unlikely for that to happen.
"Hi Vincent, the jury is still out on the exact date when the 2nd consignment will be deliver. Earlier we anticipated the end of May, it now looks unlikely as we have not received COVAX official communication. 1st dose confers 60%immunity & no harm to you if you miss the 2nd dose." Tweeted Mercy Mwangangi.
