Covid-19 pandemic has continued to wreck havoc in the country.Thousands of Kenyans have innocently lost their lives since the pandemic began in the country in March last year. The Delta variant threatened more lives especially after the Mashujaa day celebrations in Kisumu. The Government has however been trying to keep the virus at bay at all costs.Vaccines are being administered.Fortunately, the infections rate has drastically dropped to less than 2% as per yesterday's statistics.
Kenyans have been forced to spend more in the hospitals. However, the Government has now made it compulsory for every Kenyan to pay for NHIF cover. This is a great challenge to many poor Kenyans who struggle to make both ends meet.
Today,Kenyans who will get admissions at Kenyatta National Hospital have woken up to bad news. They will now have to part with more money as the Hospital administration has doubled the consultation fees for all patients. For those who may not have the insurance covers,it is more pain for them. Those who plan to seek admissions should hence prepare for this bad news as reported by the Daily Nation Newspaper.
