Nakuru county has said it has received donations of personal protective equipment from the Global Implementing Solutions (GIS) company.They said GIS is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that provides customized sustainable solutions that support the strengthening of healthcare systems worldwide.
The Nakuru county said the donations include 50 packets of surgical masks,1200 pieces of N95 and 200 KN95 masks,1300 face Shields, 250 packets of examinations gloves,500 bin liners,168 pieces of 500 ml gel sanitizers and 250 pieces of 60 ml spray sanitizers.
They said the county also received assorted stationery items among 500 pieces of branded pens,50 pieces of A4 notebooks,A5 bundles of flip charts and 4 pieces of HP LaserJet tonnes 207 A.The county said while receiving the donations the Chief Officer for Public Health Dr.Daniel Wanaina said the donationsbwill be distributed to different healthcare facilities to help keep healthcare providers safe while handling Covid-19 cases in the county government of Nakuru.
