Dr. Victor Ng’ani , who is critical care doctor says that Kenya has yet not invested in the healthcare system in Kenya & there is need to understand what it takes to build a system of healthcare. The government needs to hold the leaders accountable & they should tell enlighten the citizens on how much they have invested in healthcare.
The Parliament yesterday approved the NHIF bill where it was ruled that every household will now have to pay a total of 6000 shillings annually in the new reforms in order to access quality health attention.
The problem facing the country concerning healthcare is not that there are no qualified doctors, the issue is the inadequate facilities. When many Kenyans travel oversees to get treated is not that the those doctors are too way ahead of the locals, it is the good system available there and enough medical facilities that is attracting people. KEMSA pledges to dispatch county orders in a weeks time, it is with high hopes that the supplies will fill some gaps.
