Covid 19 pandemic has caused a lot of suffering across the world. People are dying in hospitals and at home due to this disease. Many nations are doing what they can to vaccinate their population. The current wave in Africa is worrying. According to health reports, the positivity rate of covid-19 disease is on the rise. Kisumu county and other counties in Nyanza region are feeling the heat of Covid 19 pandemic. Kisumu county reported a positive covid 19 virus of Indian variant three months ago. According to Mike Sonko, hospitals in Kisumu are full of Covid 19 patients.
The former governor used the Social media to warn his supporters about the disease. He said that people should be careful because Kisumu county hospitals are battling with covid-19 patients. Sonko also said that the wave as spread to other counties like Nairobi and others. What may worry people more is that the wave is deadly. Sonko added that the wave may claim a lot of people if they do not follow covid-19 protocols.
