The Covid-19 pandemic is now taking another route followed an increase in positivity rate for four consecutive days.
The countrywide positivity rate has increased from 12.4 percent; yesterday to 13.7 percent; today.
To make matter worse, the number of patients succumbing to Covid-19 is high. Today, the Ministry of health has reported 15 more patients who have succumbed to the disease, the death- toll hits 3826.
Since President Uhuru Kenyatta lifted the lockdown, Nairobi and Mombasa counties have been recording high number of positive cases. This implies that the lockdown was playing a key role. The other county that is recording high number of covid-19 cases is Kilifi.
Today, Nairobi county has recorded 319 cases, Mombasa 77 cases, Kilifi 71 cases, Nakuru 60 cases and Uasin Gishu 45 cases. The named counties have recorded high number of cases from today's report, compared with yesterday's report.
These Counties might suffer lockdown if the trend continues in this manner. This is the only way to prevent further spread of Covid-19 in these Counties.
