During today's Covid-19 updates, Ministry of Health revealed that there's now need of vaccinating Kenyans so as to stop further deaths as result of the virus and even curbs the spread of the deadly virus in the country.
In the last twenty fours, Ministry of Health through Prof Mutahi Kagwe announced that 27 patients succumbed to the virus in the last twenty four hours pushing cumulative fatalities to 5,045.
According to the report, majority of those who have succumbed to the virus are those who are above 60 years. More than half of the those who have succumbed to the disease are those above this age. This means that elders should consider getting vaccinated since they are the one being affected most by the disease.Currently, a total of 1,268 patients are admitted in various Health facilities countrywide while 2,733 are under Home Based isolation and care program. Those who are in intensive care unit are 96 with 63 of them being on ventilatory support.
