A Class 6 girl is now living with HIV after her uncle who is living with HIV tricked her and forcefully slept with her on several occasions.
The girl has said she was tricked by the uncle to get him a panga from the house, but when she had found the panga, she found the uncle at the door who forced her back into the house and forcefully slept with her.
"He told me to go and get a panga for him. When I had got the panga from his house, I found him at the door and took me on his bed where he removed all my clothes and did the unthinkable,” the girl narrated.
The girl's parents realized the girl was was being mistreated by the uncle, Kisawawe, when it was too late. They took her for a medical check-up where it was confirmed she had been infected.
To make matters worse, Kisawawe was also preying on the victim's friend, whom he also forced into his bed and defiled her, infecting her with the same virus.
The two minors are now on ARVs, but they face endless challenges in schools because of stigmatization.
