Kenya has revealed 511 new COVID-19 diseases as of now, in view of a test size of 7,955. As indicated by an assertion gave by the Ministry of Health on Thursday, the new diseases had an energy pace of 6.4 percent.
"All out affirmed positive cases are presently 245,337 and total tests so far directed are 2,478,820," the Health Ministry said.
There are 488 Kenyans and 23 outsiders among those contaminated, going in age from one to 99 years. Nairobi had the most new diseases, with 137, trailed by Baringo and Bomet, each with 50, and Nakuru, with 40.
In the remainder of the country, the new diseases are fanned out as follows: Nyandarua 36, Kiambu 35, Kisii 28, Embu 21, Machakos 20, Makueni 17, Meru 17, Kericho 16, Kajiado 15, Tharaka Nithi 14, Mombasa 12, Laikipia 12, Murang'a 12, Kitui 11, Uasin Gishu 9, Kakamega 6, Narok 5, Turkana 5, Marsabit 4, Tana River 3, Kirinyaga 3, Bungoma 3, Busia 3, Nandi 3, Kisumu 2, Lamu 2, Trans Nzoia 2, Nyeri 2, Siaya 2, Wajir 1, Elgeyo Marakwet 1, Kilifi 1 and Migori 1.
Health CS Sen.Mutahi Kagwe on Wednesday commissioned the newly renovated labs at KEMRI. He was accompanied by Charge‘d’ affairs US Embassy, Mr Eric Kneedler. The facility will strengthen the country's capacity to handle emerging and re-emerging diseases.
