Today, the ministry of health has delivered good news to Kenyans as it records a reduced rate of COVID-19 infections which is now at 15.1% compared to yesterday's 18%. this means that the Lockdown might be lifted anytime soon when the rate of infection Also reduces to below 5% as promised earlier by the president.
While addressing the country from the state House on Thursday last week, president uhuru kenyatta had hinted at reopening the country as soon as the rate of COVID-19 infections in goes down to 5%.
At the same time, the ministry of health has recored the highest number of recovered patients ever since the third wave was reported. According to the MoH,533 patients have recovered from the virus. 420 from Home Based & Isolation Care, & 113 from various health facilities. Total recoveries now stands at 94,183.
Meanwhile 18 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours bringing cumulative fatalities to 2,224.
