It is the second week since the former Nairobi Governor was hospitalized after developing health complications while in police custody.
Mike Sonko, after being released on a Ksh 300,000 cash bail by the high court, he sought medical attention at Nairobi hospital.

Now, the former county boss has sent a message to Nairobi residents after a long period of silence.
While sending his condolences to the Mukuru Kwa Njenga founder, Njenga Kariuki who died last week.
In a phone call to the mourners that was put on a loudspeaker, Sonko was heard pleading with Nairobians to pray for him.
“I wish to condole with Njenga’s family as they lay Mzee to rest. I also request your prayers. Nairobi residents, please pray for me,” Sonko addressed the mourners.
During his bail hearing, the magistrate not only ordered his release from police custody but also asked police officers not to question him until he gets well.
Today, his lawyers led by John Khaminwa revealed the conditions and diseases that are ailing the legislator.

They said that he is being treated for bipolar disorder, excessive body weight, high cholesterol, and sleep disorder.
In his hospital bed, Sonko has only been publicly seen with his daughters who have paid him a visit and written sweet and loving messages to encourage him.
