Good news from the Ministry of Health as this impressive news emerges. According to the report shared through Nation, Cabinet Secretary for Health Mutahi Kagwe has promised to eradicate cases of corruption at Kenya Medical Supply Authority. He added that the country is expected to clean up Kemsa to enhance effeciency.
Cabinet secretary who was speaking during the launching of a three day retreat between the Ministry of Health and the Kenya Editors Guild at Ocean Beach Resort in Malindi. A thing that has sparked alot of reactions from people across the country.
Indeed the government had set up a new management structure and an efficient board at Kemsa. He said reforms at Kemsa are aimed at ensuring that Kenyans get value for their money.
More impressively it will be difficult for the government to implement the Universal Health Coverage without an efficient operating Kemsa.
Finally it was said the move will bring the editors on board to discuss the issues of UHC and how the department can work effectively with the media was important for the success of the programme.
