The country is still fighting to control the corona Virus in the country. President Uhuru Kenyatta lifted the cessation of movement in the the 5 red Zoned Counties in his presidential address as cases seemed to be going down. The 5 counties which included Nairobi,Kiambu,Nakuru,Kajiado and Machakos have however shown a worrying trend of late where they have started to register high cases of Corona Virus. In Today's update by the ministry of health,the 5 counties have recorded high cases of new infections with Nairobi county having the Lions share of new cases totalling to 334,Nakuru 21,Kiambu has 20,Kajiado 6 and Machakos 5. These figures are from total cases of 503 recorded today from a sample size of 4060. Kilifi county has also joined the counties with the highest cases of infections with today's figure standing at 84.
The 5 counties together with Kilifi county have recorded high cases of infections for the past two days and yesterday's figures are shown below;
From the trend, I may advice the president should consider putting again the once red zone counties into lockdown to prevent the spread of the virus to other counties. Kilifi should be added among the counties.
