Bad news to the ministry of health as the private Centers Stop to offer services all National Hospital Insurance Fund Members after this message Emerges. The ministry of health has been working closely with the Government to see that all Kenyans under NHIF medical cover are receiving quality services in our different health centers. The National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) has been very helpful to all Kenyans across this country, all Kenyans have been using NHIF as one of the medical cover to settle down the huge amount of bills which usually accumulate in our various hospitals in this country.
Bad news as private health centers Stop to offer services to National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) members after this message emerges. According to the Kenya Association Of Private Hospitals Chairman Dr. Abdi Mohamed said that the private health centers will stop to offer services to all NHIF members from Monday next week because NHIF has reduced the reimbursement rates. NHIF wants to pay Sh20,000 for everything, take for instance the caesarian section, an obstetrician is supposed to charge sh96,000 and maximum sh180,000 and anaesthetists the minimum fees is sh30,000 or maximum of sh60,000 among other services offered in the hospitals but the NHIF members know that there is nothing they pay. This sounds as bad news especially to all NHIF members.
