Four children from Promise village in Molo, Nakuru county are receiving treatment in Molo sub county hospital after allegedly eating poisonous wild vegetables known as 'Magurukia' in Kikuyu language.
The head of the facility Dr Bernard Warui revealed that at the moment, the four are in a stable health condition and are continuing to receive treatment.
The sad incident came just weeks after two siblings from the same area were admitted in hospital in a critical state after eating chameleons prepared for them by their elder 7 year old brother. The brother said that he mixed the chameleons with a little potatoes to prepare stew because there was no other food at home. Luckily, the two kids were saved.
Their mother Joyce Chengetich was given a job by governor Susan Kihika and also provided with a fully furnished house whose 3 months was paid by the county government. Her 8 kids were taken to school.
