Eating Habits that Are Not Good for Your Health

Having problems in your stomach because the food cannot be properly digested is one of the most disturbing things one can experience. But what most people do not understand is that we bring most of these things on us. 

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), our eating practices are the leading causes of gastrointestinal problems. Most of these issues occur because many people do not know how their bodies respond to different things.

One of the major causes of these gastrointestinal problems is eating carbohydrates that give the body hard time to absorb. If you are fan of these group of foods that take a long time to digest and are fermented in the body like wheat, then you are likely to experience problems. When your digestive system has a hard time digesting wheat then you need to stay away from it as it may also trigger irritable bowel syndrome.

Another problem is caused by eating foods that are high in fats. Fatty meals can take time to digest as they are not easy to break down and as that happens, you may have discomfort in the stomach. Fat is not bad but loading your stomach with tonnes of it may not be good for you. Eat foods with low fat will also ensure you end up a nice flat belly rid of fats.

Besides that, eating foods that contain too much acid close to your bedtime can cause you problems. According to the American Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), foods with high contents of acid can cause heartburn, indigestion and acid reflux. These will mean you won’t get quality sleep.
