However,according to Tuko news on their tweeter account, resident of Thim Jope,Migori county are in shock after 6 family members, George Omondi, wife Hellen Achieng' and 4 children aged between 7 and 24 lost their eyesight under unclear circumstances and were rushed to Migori County Referral Hospital.
Confirming the incident, Sub- location Assistant Chief Kerry Otieno said a 12- year old boy started convulsing later collapsed and died.
Back at the hospital, the medics were still trying to find the cause of the family's loss of sight.
