Covid-19 is a deadly virus that originated from Wuhan China in December, 2019 and reported in the country in March, 2022. The virus has claimed millions of people across the globe.

The ministry of health has today reported that in the last 24 hours, 57 people have tested positive for the virus from the sample test of 2954.
From the test, 45 patients were Kenyans while 12 were foreigners. In terms of gender distributions, thirty five are males and twenty two females.
The youngest patient from the fifty seven samples has five years while the oldest has eighty years old. The total number of samples that have tested positive for the virus currently stands at 324, 406.
In terms of county distribution, Nairobi is leading with 37 cases, Siaya has six, Kilifi has five, Kiambu (2), Murang'a (2), Kisumu, Kwale, Turkana, Mombasa and Bomet (1).
In conclusion, I take this chance to call upon Kenyans to maintain covid-19 containment measures to avoid the rising number of infection.
