Even with the up surge in the cases of Corona virus disease, the Head of State President Uhuru on Saturday 1st May 2021 eased Covid-19 protocols however urging members of the public to continue observing containment measures put accross by the Ministry of Health.
On Saturday, the Ministry reported that the Covid-19 positivity rate was 12.8% and today, the Ministry has established that the positivity rate is standing at 8.3%.
Within the last twenty four hours, the Ministry of Health has established that 369 new people have been confirmed positive for covid-19 bringing the country's cumulative number of covid-19 related cases so far to over 160400.
The country's cumulative death toll has up surged to 2763 after the Ministry recorded 19 new cases of Covid-19 deaths within the last twenty four hours.
The Ministry has said that the country's cumulative number of recoveries has surged to 108861. This is after the Ministry recorded 72 new recoveries within the last twenty four hours.
