Today the fourth President of the great Republic of Kenya and Commander - in - Chief of Defense Forces His Excellency Uhuru Mugai Kenyatta together with the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta visited his home county to attend important event.
The first in command won the hearts of many Kenyans online after he unveiled East Africa"s public molecular Imaging Centre (IMIC) at the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KUTTRH) in Kiambu County.
The ultra - modern IMIC is the first of its kind in Kenya and the region, and was developed as part of government efforts to expand access to cancer treatment in the country. The Hospitality Centre has a capacity to host up to one hundred patients and their families during their stay at Hospital.
Speaking during at the facility's launch the Head of State said the government had invested in the screening and treatment facility in response to the increasing cases of cancer - related deaths in the country.
