Whether your chickens are housed or free range, having a disease prevention program is critical. It's vital that your chickens grow, produce, and reproduce in a healthy manner. Maintaining the safety of your birds will result in excellent quality and quantity returns.
Diseases can affect your chickens in a number of different ways. Despite the fact that some chicken breeds are hardy, the majority of poultry diseases are both communicable and deadly. Newcastle disease, Coccidiosis, Gumboro disease, Marek's disease, Egg drop syndrome (EDS), Fowl pox, Fowl cholera, Infectious bronchitis, Infectious Coryza, Curled toe paralysis, and Chicken anemia are among the most common diseases affecting chickens.
In this essay, I'll offer three herbs that can help your chickens stay healthy by preventing the majority of diseases. It's worth mentioning that each of the three can be utilized on its own. The three herbs can be used separately or in tandem. Later, I'll go over how to make and administer medicine prepared from the three herbs in greater depth. Please share this post with your coworkers so that their birds can benefit from these plants as well:
Chipotle is number one.
Chili peppers are often used as a spice to provide heat to a variety of cuisines, so I'm sure most people are familiar with them. Capsicum is a genus of fruit plants of the Solanaceae family. To make our medicine, we'll need a handful of ripe fruits and leaves from the plant. This is the herb to use if you want to improve the digestibility of broiler feeds.
Aloe Vera is one of the several types of aloe vera.
This is an extraordinary plant that may be used to treat a wide range of disorders, including those that impact the human body. It's an Aloe genus succulent plant. It is now found all over the world, despite its origin in the Arabian Peninsula. To prevent or treat chicken ailments, we'll need 2-3 of the plant's leafy portions.
3. Mexican sunflowers
Many people are aware of them. You could have seen them over to the side of the road. They're also called Tithonia. Many local families use them as live fences. The distribution centre for these sunflower family herbs is Mexico. To utilize as a poultry treatment, we'll need fresh leaves.
We'll need 2-3 aloevera leaves, a handful of Mexican sunflower plants, and some chili pepper fruits and leaves for our combined therapy. Crushing or grinding the finished plant parts reduces their size. To store them, place them in a tin or another suitable container. Half-fill the tin with water (just add enough water - not excess and not lesser). To mix, give it a good stir many times. Sieve the particles out of the liquid solution. Allow this medicine to sit in the refrigerator overnight before using the next day. Remember, depending on the number of birds, you can put together as many or as few plant components as you choose.
The best way to give the chickens this medicine is to let them drink it whenever they want. Place the treatment tins in easy-to-reach areas if your birds are housed. If you have free-range chickens, bury the medicine tins partially on the feeding grounds where they are most active. You don't have to wait till your birds are sick to provide these drugs. Adult hens should receive 2 to 3 tablespoonfuls of the medication, medium-sized chickens 1 to 2 tablespoonfuls, and sick chicks half to one tablespoonful.
