How To Cook Delicious Githeri With Carrots To Avoid Gases

  1. 500grms of maize and bean mixture
  2. 2 onions
  3. 2 carrots
  4. 2 green peppers
  5. 4 tomatoes
  6. 4 cloves garlic
  7. 1 tblspn paprika
  8. 1 teaspoon black pepper
  9. Salt
  10. Coriander
  11. Cooking oil

Steps


  1. Take your sufuria,add cooking oil and the two diced onions.Cook to Golden brown.
  2. Add your 4 cloves crushed garlic and stir.
  3. Add some little water to stop onions from darkening.
  4. Add your 4 diced ripe tomatoes and let cook for 3minutes.
  5. Now add your paprika,black pepper n salt(to your liking) stir n cover.
  6. As it Cooks prepare your boiled githeri, ensure the broth is drained completely.
  7. Add your githeri to the now thick tomato mixture.Stir without stopping without adding water or the broth.(this stiring will give us thick stew at the end)
  8. When you notice its about to stick to the sufuria now add your broth or water.Little by little.
  9. Then add your carrots + green peppers.
  10. I used Total Amount of water + broth 1litre.Cover and let it boil to the desired stew level.
  11. Remove from stove and add your coriander.Some people usually have the formation of gases in the stomach after eating Githeri. Cooking Githeri with carrot will help you greatly. Follow the above recipe. Share the article to your friends too.
