Spinach is a stable in the kitchen as they are easy to cook fresh spinach. Their flavor is mild, so it mixes nicely with other items while providing health benefits to any meal.
Spinach can be cooked using two different methods, Steaming and Sauteing.
Ingredients
Tomatoes
Spinach
Onions
Pinch salt
Cooking oil
2 Royco cubes
Garlic powder
Steaming Method
Place the spinach leaves in a very large, deep skillet. Add 1/2 cup of water.
Cover the skillet tightly and turn the heat to medium - high. When the spinach start to cook, turn the heat to medium and keep cooking until the leaves are just wilted.
Transfer the cooked spinach to colander. Press on it with the back of a large serving spoon to extract as much liquid as you can.
Transfer the spinach to a serving plate. Sprinkle it with salts, pepper and garlic powder, then drizzle it with melted butter. Then it is ready to be served.
Sauteed Method
Start with heating cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add tomatoes, onions, bell pepper or chili flake.
Add the spinach handful at a time, stirring until wilted then add the rest of the leaves for about 10 minutes, after it, it is ready to be served.
