According to them, Wavinya was marketing a fruit which shares a name with Kalonzo. This is because the former vice-president has, in the past be referred to as watermelon in politics, meaning an individual who has no reliable stand.
The ex-Machakos gubernatorial hopeful began by posting a photo of the watermelon fruits she took from her farm. She then wrote a post, which was a sale pitch of the same fruits. She invited interested individuals and gave contacts of people who should be called in case one needs the melons.
"Watermelons Organically grown for sale, sourced from my farm contact ; Liz-0725755579 Martin-0727062137," posted Wavinya.
However, her post elicited massive funny reactions which dragged in Kalonzo to it. Some claimed that Wavinya had resorted to selling her party leader.
Others question her intentions for posting them by wondering whether she was indirectly maligning the Wiper chief in what could be seen as prospective future fallout.
Others criticized her for being questionable in his support for Kalonzo's 2022 presidential ambitions.
Nevertheless, a number of them sobered up and asked the price of the commodity for the purpose of purchasing in order to sell or consume them. Here are some of the reactions;
Wavinya is a close ally of Kalonzo. She unsuccessfully ran for Machakos governship seat after losing it to Dr Alfred Mutua who was seeking reelection in 2017 polls. She will be having an upper hand in 2022 general elections because Dr Mutua will be retiring.
